About Jewelry Style Radar
Jewelry Styles, Materials & Piercings, Decoded. We sort the world of jewelry by the questions that actually come up: what is this made of, how do I care for it, and what does it mean?
Instead of organizing by a single product list, we start with the piece itself. A necklace sits in one story, its metal in another, its cleaning method in a third, and the era it comes from in a fourth. Following the links builds a real understanding of any piece of jewelry, one question at a time.
Every story on Jewelry Style Radar is written by a specialist who knows the subject firsthand. Our contributors include gemologists, body-piercing professionals, bench goldsmiths, jewelry historians, and restorers. We do not auto-generate lists from spec sheets, and we do not write about materials or stones we have not handled.
How we write
- We explain materials, stones, and styles in plain language, with the real trade-offs spelled out.
- We cover safety where it matters, especially for piercings, metals against the skin, and cleaning methods.
- We are an editorial site, not a store. There is no checkout, no price pressure, and no affiliate push.
- We update stories as materials, treatments, and best practices change, and we note it when we do.
Jewelry Style Radar is an independent editorial site. We do not accept paid placements that would compromise our explanations. If a material or method is recommended here, it is because our specialists genuinely believe it is the right answer.
